3D Printed Alien Xenomorph Suit

This project will be almost entirely 3D Printed. The original alien suit in the movie was made from a combination of fiberglass and latex rubber. I attempted a similar build to this some time ago which proved messy and time consuming.

As I mentioned in the initial concept, the suit will be 3D printed in a combination of rigid and flexible material using a Lulzbot TAZ 3 with dual extruders. I’ve used Autodesk123D Design to design the parts. Blue parts are rigid ABS, red parts are flexible Ninjaflex:

Alien has two thumbs, so these will be made from the same parts with one section missing:

The wearer will wear black gloves with rings attached to each finger, these will be bonded onto the underside of the Alien fingers so it forms an exoskeleton:

All the fingers are joined with the Ninjaflex rubber hand back:

and the rings are attached to the underside using Acetone to make a chemical weld:
